Big welcome to Brian, our latest member, who has joined the merry throng and got stuck in very quickly.
Al is back not quite mended but rearing to go…. Charlie is also back just waiting on appointments… Clive is missing a vital organ but has had a remarkable recovery and is feeling a lot better. We all wish that Sylv will be back soon in our Shed. We so miss her.
Firstly, a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in getting out all the items for the Secret Garden Centre. First time we have had an order to deliver by a certain time. To complete these alongside that enormous Sleigh for Wild Wood was such an achievement from our little Shed.
Have just written the article for the Parish magazine; the deadline is the 6th of the month, but delivery is nearly 5 weeks later. Have put in about the Angels, Trees and pens, but hopefully we will have sold them all by the time the article comes out!
Ladies@birchingtonmanshed; The away day in Cliftonville was well attended, and £50 was added to the kitty. Another is arranged for the beginning of December, making sparkly Christmas decorations.
Thank you, Al, for being salesman of the week for selling £40 of ladies from the window. It’s his charm and singing that gets them to part with their money!!!! Charlie and Al are now working on the hedgehog order…3 required!
This month the plan is to crack on with Snowmen and Angels for the sale in the Centre on Saturday 29th November. We are aiming to sell the POSH Christmas trees on Facebook so that we can get a better “gallery” price for them.
Hopefully we have been offered wall kitchen units to hang on the back wall, which will enable us to have more things put away. Also, a new idea to keep the window display free from dust and hopefully easier to view. These are all plans for the new year.
Already the Shed is safer to work in, as there is a lot more space to move around. Dare I say that it certainly is much cleaner, and we thank everyone who clears up in the last few minutes of each session.
Thank you to Clive for the new coffee machine; I for one certainly appreciate it!
I’m sorry about the little diagram in the key box, but if it doesn’t go in that position, it jams and is extremely difficult to reopen.
